Who is responsible for your information?
Grenoside Scouts & Guides is responsible for the personal information collected in connection with this lottery.
Fundraze provides the online platform used to administer ticket sales, supporter records and lottery draws.
For questions about your personal information, please contact grenosandg@gmail.com.
What information do we collect?
When you enter the lottery, we may collect your:
- name
- email address
- mobile number
- confirmation that you are aged 16 or over
- ticket numbers and draw eligibility
- purchase and payment records
- marketing preference
- winner-publicity preference
- records relating to lottery draws and prizes
If you win, we may also need additional information to arrange payment of your prize.
Your card details are processed securely by Stripe. Fundraze does not store your full card details.
How do we use your information?
We use your information to administer the lottery, including processing your ticket purchase, issuing your electronic ticket, determining which draws your tickets are eligible for, conducting draws, contacting winners, arranging prize payments and maintaining appropriate financial, audit and regulatory records.
We may also use your contact details to deal with questions about your entry or send important messages relating to the lottery.
These operational messages are separate from marketing communications.
Marketing
When purchasing tickets, you can separately choose whether you would like to hear from Grenoside Scouts & Guides about future fundraising activities, raffles and events.
Choosing not to receive marketing will not affect your ability to enter the lottery.
You can change your mind and withdraw your marketing consent at any time.
If you win
The winning ticket number may be announced publicly after a draw.
You can separately choose whether you are happy for your first name and surname initial to be included with the winning ticket number.
For example: Neil R. — Ticket 00001
If you do not give this permission, your name will not be included and the result will instead be shown as: Ticket 00001 — Name withheld
You do not have to agree to publication of your name to enter or win the lottery.
Who do we share information with?
Your information may be processed by organisations that help operate the lottery, including Fundraze, the platform used to administer the lottery; Stripe, which processes online payments; and Resend, which is used to send transactional emails such as ticket confirmations.
Information may also be provided to the relevant licensing authority, the Gambling Commission or another authority where this is necessary to meet a legal or regulatory obligation.
We do not sell supporter information.
How long do we keep your information?
Lottery and transaction records that are required for financial, accounting, audit or regulatory purposes may be retained for up to six years.
Other personal information will only be retained for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected and will then be deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
Where you have chosen to receive marketing, information needed to manage that preference may be retained while you remain subscribed and as necessary to record your marketing choices.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information. These can include asking to see the information held about you, correcting inaccurate information, requesting deletion or restriction of information, objecting to certain uses of your information, and withdrawing consent where processing is based on your consent.
Some information may need to be retained even if you ask for it to be deleted, for example where it forms part of a lottery, financial, audit or regulatory record that Grenoside Scouts & Guides is required to keep.
For questions or requests concerning your personal information, contact grenosandg@gmail.com.
You can also raise concerns about the use of your personal information with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
